Learn How to Root Nexus Q
Rooting is what you all love to buy an Android device for, if you love to customize your Android device you can’t live without rooting. A rooting method has been found for your newly purchased Nexus Q. The social streaming media player Nexus Q isn’t similar to other Android devices like it hasn’t any touch screen but developers over XDA had attained the root access on the device.
Here’s a step by step guide to root the Nexus Q but keep in mind that since rooting will void the limitations of Google, it will also void the warranty of the device, which means you have to think twice before rooting. Before rooting the device first make sure your device is unlocked, you can out this guide to unlock your Nexus Q.

Step #1: Open the command prompt on your PC.
Step #2: Plug the device to PC with USB cable.
Step #3: Enter the following command to command prompt, once you’ve entered the command the LDE will stay red, after that hold your hand on mute LED when it boots up and wait until it gets red:
adb reboot bootloader
Step #4: Enter following commands:
It will show a serial number which means the device is connected with the PC.
Step #5: Enter following command to unlock the bootloader, and then within 5 seconds run the fastboot oem unlockaccept, the device will reboot and erase your data:
fastboot oem unlock
Step #6: Now pair your Android device with the Nexus Q and under setting menu enter the device in the debug mode, then copy place the boot.img file that modifies default.prop with the following values:
Download the Nexus Q Boot Image file and once it done, enter the following command:
Step #7: Enter andother command, it will start the device with the root authorization:
fastboot boot nexusq-boot.img
That’s your device is now rooted, enjoy.
