Learn How-To Root the HTC Amaze 4G [for Windows]

If you are a user of HTC Amaze 4G and want to Root this device you are on a right place below you can see step-by-step guide for this purpose. Before you get started make sure that you have manage your back-up because below steps can damage your valued data and you also need a device with at least 60% battery.

You also need the USB drivers for your HTC Amaze 4G, you can download them from here then enable USB debugging on your mobile phone by going to Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all you need to go to HTC’s developer page to unlock your phone’s bootloader here, and also verify that you have do this successfully.

Step 2

Then you need to Download Binary100100′s Recovery Installer for Noobs 2.0 from here extract it and make sure you have the files that you can see below:

C:amaze-rootAdbWinApi.dll

C:amaze-rootAdbWinUsbApi.dll

C:amaze-rootfastboot

C:amaze-rootfastboot.exe

C:amaze-rootFlash.bat

C:amaze-rootFlash.sh

C:amaze-rootrecovery-cwm-ruby-5.0.2.7.img

Step 4

Using a USB Cable connect your device to PC and copy the extracted ZIP file.

Step 5

Run “Flash.bat” as Administrator to install ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.7 to your HTC Amaze 4G. A command prompt window will open as soon as you start the program.

Step 6

Follow instructions on the command prompt window if there is any.

Step 7

Download the rooting package for the HTC Amaze 4G from here. and Do not unzip the package and copy the rooting package to the root directory of the internal SD card of your HTC Amaze 4G.

Step 8

Open a command prompt and type the following commands:

cd c:amaze-root

adb reboot recovery

Step 9

The second command above will reboot your phone into ClockworkMod Recovery and as you have seen on your phone, use the Volume keys to highlight “Install zip from sdcard.” Press the Power button.

Step 10

Then navigate to “choose zip from sdcard,” then press the Power button and browse for Superuser-3.0.7-efghi-signed.zip and select it with the Power button also verify that you want to flash the file.

Step 11

Wait a bit for the process to DONE simply return to the main menu of recovery menu.

Step 12

In the end just select “reboot system now” to restart your phone.
