If you are a user of Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 7.7 and want to Root your device you are on a right place below you can see step-by-step guide for this purpose. But before you get started make sure that you have manage your back-up because the below steps can damage your valued data. You also need to download the Root.zip file from here and download and install Samsung KIES from here and fully charged battery.

DISCLAIMER: The below method is bit risky and we will not be held responsible if you lose data or your device gets damaged in the following of this guide so please proceed at your own risk.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all you need to USB cable to connect your Galaxy Tab 7.7 to your PC and copy the Root.zip file to the root of the external microSD card

Step 2

After this Turn Off your Galaxy Tab 7.7

Step 3

Now you need to Press Volume Up and Power button at the same time to reboot your device into Recovery mode and when the Galaxy Tab logo appears, release the Power button

Step 4

In the recovery menu, scroll to “install update from external storage”.

Step 5

Look for the Root.zip file and select the file using the Power button. And the flashing of the Root.zip file will now start and once it is Done your device will automatically reboot.

Step 6

After the tablet has rebooted, download and install the Superuser app from the Android Market.

i downloaded the root.zip file directly on my galaxy tab 7.7 and moved it to my SDcard but when i go into recovery and klick on install zip from sdcard it does not show me the root.zip file

can you help me?
