Learn How-To Update Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime With U.S. Firmware 9.4.2.14
If you are a user of Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime then there is something interesting news for you because now you can update it with U.S. Firmware 9.4.2.14 below you can see a guide for this purpose. But before you get started make sure that below steps can damage your data so before you get started make sure that you have managed your back-up. Might be OTA RootKeeper will unable to keep your root access after you upgrade to 9.4.2.14 firmware.
You also need to disable system tools such as antivirus and firewall programs to avoid any interference while flashing the updates. You need a fully charged battery for this purpose. Steps To Follow
Step 1
First of all you need to download the 9.4.2.14 update file from here or here and then extract them.
Step 2
After this make use of your USB cable to connect your ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime to the PC and copy the file called “blob” in the Root of your device’s SD Card.
Step 3
Then open the Android Terminal Emulator app on your tablet and here type “su” and press Enter. This will allow root access to Terminal Emulator.
Step 4
After this type the command “dd if=/Removable/MicroSD/blob of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4” (again, without the quotation marks) and press Enter. now you have to wait for a short time.
Step 5
Reboot your device when the following is displayed in the app:
- 1068769+1 records in
- 1068769+1 records out
- 547210197 bytes transferred in 153.991 secs (3553520 bytes/sec)
Step 6
After some time it will rebooted, the update process will automatically kick in.
Step 7
