Learn How-To Upgrade HTC Evo 4G With Android 4.0.3 ICS Firmware
If you are a user of HTC Evo 4G and want to upgrade this device with Android 43.0.3 ICS (ice cream sandwich) you are on a right place below you can see a step-be-step guide for this purpose. But before you get started make sure that you have managed your back-up because the below steps can damage your valued data.
Also make sure that your battery life is at-least 70 % for this procedure and you also need to uninstall all antivirus applications present on your computer as they may cut short the update process. You also need to USB Debugging on your device you can do this through the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging”.

Instructions
Step 1
Firstly download the Evervolv Acies 2.1.0 preview 1 ROM package into your PC, you can Get the update file here.
Step 2
After that you need to download the Google Apps package from here and save it to your PC. And via USB cable connect your device to your PC.
Step 3
Then Copy the ROM and gApp packages into the root of SD card that you are using for your device and simply disconnect the device.
Step 4
Then Turn Off your phone and hold down the Volume Down key at the same time as pressing the Power Button to reboot it into bootloader mode and from the bootloader mode menu, select Recovery and when in Recovery mode, select “Clear Storage” to delete all the cache data from your device.
Step 5
After that select “Install zip from SD Card” from the menu and select the ROM package file.
Step 6
Then flash the gApps package in the same manner and after the update files have been flashed, select “Go Back” to return to the main recovery menu.
Step 7
Then just select “Reboot system now” from the menu and when your device has rebooted in general, check whether the flashing was successful.
Step 8
Go to Settings > About Phone > Firmware version to find out whether it says Android 4.0.3.
