If you want to upgrade HTC Rezound to Android 4.0.3 ICS with HTC Sense 3.6 using Ineffabilis Deus Alpha ROM you are on a right place below you can see the step by step guide for this purpose. Here I’d like to say that you need a rooted and with ClockworkMod Recovery and also need ADB with Fastboot must be installed on your PC.

And you also need HTC drivers for the HTC Rezound must be installed on your computer. On the other hand Ineffabilis Deus ROM (version 1.0.1 Odex).  Get it from here (Ineffabilis-Deus_v1.0.1-Odex.zip) and save the ZIP file to your computer.  Do not extract the ZIP file.

Boot image (PH98IMG.zip).  Get it from here.  Extract the ZIP file’s contents into a folder on your computer.  A file called “boot.img” should be among the extracted files. And you also need at least 70 % battery for this purpose. Also manage the back-up of your valued data.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all you need the Copy the Ineffabilis Deus ROM file to the root of your phone’s external storage. And after that Copy “boot.img” into the same folder where adb.exe and fastboot.exe are located on your computer.  (This is usually the Tools or Platform-Tools folder inside the Android SDK installation folder.)

Step 2

Now you need to turn off the phone. And now Reboot the phone into recovery mode.

Step 3

After this In recovery mode, create a backup of your existing (and functioning) ROM.  You can do this from Backup & Restore > Backup. And Wipe all your phone data:

• Choose Wipe data/factory reset from the menu and confirm the operation.
• Choose Wipe cache partition from the menu and confirm the operation.
• Choose Advanced > Wipe Dalvik cache and confirm the operation.

Step 4

Now return to the main recovery menu Choose Install zip from sdcard, then Choose zip from sdcard.  Select the Ineffabilis Deus ROM file and also verify that you want to start installation.

Step 5

After this Reboot your phone, go to Settings > Applications > Development and enable USB debugging and use USB cable to connect your phone to your PC.

Step 6

Open a command prompt on your PC and also change the working directory to the directory where you copied “boot.img”.

Step 7

Then use ADB to reboot your phone into bootloader mode.  Type “adb reboot bootloader” at the command prompt to do this.

Step 8

Now put your phone in fastboot mode by pressing the Power button. And then you have to Flash “boot.img” onto your phone by typing this command at the command prompt: “fastboot flash boot boot.img”

Step 9

When you have flashed, reboot your device by command “fastboot reboot” and remain for your phone to reboot and load the new OS completely.

Step 10

Now immediately update the Superuser app after the phone has totally rebooted.
