If you are using Samsung Captivate then it’s a new update for you because now you are able to do this below you can see step-by-step guide for this purpose using Android 4.0.3 AOKP Build 27. Before you get started make sure that you have manage your back-up because below steps can damage your valued data. Before you get started make sure that you have a Samsung Captivate model number i897 and fully charged.

Before you get started make sure that you have Rooted Samsung Captivate I897 with ClockworkMod Recovery installed.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all you need to download the AOKP Build 27 package from here to your PC and then download the GApps package from here.

Step 2

After this Copy both the files to the root of your device’s internal SD Card and Turn Off your Samsung Captivate I897.

Step 3

Now hold down both the Volume Up and Volume Down keys as you press the Power button to Boot into Recovery mod.

Step 4

 In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of existing ROM, if anything should not work out something expected on this ROM, it will helps you to easily revert back to your current state, to create select “Backup and Restore”, and on the screen that follows select “Backup” again.

Step 5

Now Select “Wipe Data/Factory Reset” and verify it on the next screen and then select “Install ZIP from SD Card” and choose the AOKP Build 27 zip file.

Step 6

When the ROM finishes installing,  select “Go Back” and when GApps has finished installing, select “Go Back.”

Step 7

In the end now, select “Reboot System Now”.
