Learn How-To Upgrade Samsung Galaxy S II via Slim ICS Custom ROM

If you are a user of Samsung’s Galaxy S II and want to upgrade this device with Slim ICS custom ROM you are on a right place below you can see step-by-step guide for this purpose. Before you get stared make sure that you have a Galaxy S II GT-I9100 and dont try the below steps for any other device. Before you get started make sure that you have manage your back-up because below steps can damage your valued data you also need a fully charged device for this purpose.

You also need a Rooted Samsung Galaxy S II with ClockworkMod Recovery installed.

Instructions

Step 1

First of all you need to download the latest packages of Slim ICS ROM from the link below, and then using a USB Cable connect your device to PC and copy the rom.

Step 2

After this Turn Off your device and hold down the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons at the same time to Boot into recovery mode, then release the buttons when you see the Samsung logo.

Step 3

Now you have to wipe device data, to select “Wipe Data/Factory Reset” after that select “Yes” on the screen that follows.

Step 4

Now select “Mounts and storage” after that select “Format system”. Select “Yes” on the screen that follows to confirm formatting your device.

Step 5

You also have to select Advanced, then select “Wipe Dalvik cache”  also verify caceh.

Step 6

Select Install zip from sdcard > Choose zip from sdcard and Browse the file that you have downloaded before to flash it you just need to wait for 5 to 10 minutes for Slim ICS Custom ROM .

Step 7

After the installation is through, select “Go Back” then select “Reboot System Now” to reboot your phone.

Step 8

In some cases, just a black homescreen is shown upon first boot after installation.  If this happens, just press the Menu key on your phone, and then go to Preferences > Customize > Zeam Launcher.
