According to news from Samsung, Ice Cream Sandwich update will release for Samsung Galaxy S2, there’s no news about release, so if you don’t have ability to wait, there’s many unofficial custom ROMs for Galaxy S2 but if you install these ROM first you need to root your device, it will void your device warranty. There’s official update Android 2.3.6  available, here’s guide to upgrade your device Android 2.3.4 to Android 2.3.6, you can upgrade your device with latest version of Samsung Kies too.  Fist to follow below guide Samsung KIES must be installed on your device. Your device should be charged. Turn the USB Debugging on, just Go to Settings>Application>Development>USB Debugging and check the box.

Instructions

Step #1: Download Odin3-v1.85 here.

Step #2: Download the Appropriate version of the ROM form Here. Select the correct region and download the ROM. And extract it, password, type “samfirmware.com” or “samsung-firmwares.com”.

Step #3: Turn the device off and reboot into recovery mode, by pressing Volume Key Down+Home Button+ Power ON/OFF Button at the same time. Keep the keys pressed till you see a screen like this:

Step #4: Now press the Volume Key Up to continue and enter the Odin Mode.

Step #5: Extract “Odin3-v1.85.zip” and double click on Odin3-v1.85.exe and connect device to PC with USB cable, make sure ID:COM box highlighted yellow that the Handset is connected to the PC.

Step #6: Start Downloading binary files by clicking Start Button. Then wait for “Pass” to appear on the screen.

Step #7: Disconnect device from PC and once the device boots up, confirm the downloaded version name and etc. : *#1234#. That’s it enjoy!
