Now Install ClockworkMod Touch Recovery On Your Rooted Android Device [How-To]


Nowadays ClockworkMod recovery is most famous but it never really had the most elegant of user-interface and this recovery required the user to navigate its menus through device’s volume up/down, home, back, power keys.  Now a good news is that developer gave a preview of ClockworkMod Touch Recovery which is non-touch but user can navigate through touch.

It available for many devices such as Samsung Galaxy S II International Version, Sprint Epic 4G Touch, AT&T Galaxy S II, T-Mobile Galaxy S II, Sprint Epic 4G, Motorola Cliq, LG Optimus Black, LG Optimus 2X, LG Optimus 3D, HTC Rezound, HTC G2, and HTC MyTouch 4G. This is besides its availability on the HTC EVO 4G/3D, Desire, Desire HD, Sensation, Thunderbolt, Motorola Atrix 4G, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus S / 4G. The list will extend so we are sharing a guide that is applicable for those version of ClockworkMod Touch Recovery which are available in .zip format. Of course certain version of CWM touch will not work for this method for that check if the file is .zip or not. If it is and your device is rooted, follow below steps.

DISCLAIMER: The below method is bit risky and we will not be held responsible if you lose data or your device gets damaged in the following of this guide so please proceed at your own risk.

Instructions 

Install With ROM Manager

Step #1: Download, install and launch the premium version of ROM Manager.

Step #2: Tap on Flash ClockworkMod Recovery and let the installation complete.

Manually Install 

Step #1: Download the ClockworkMod Touch Recovery

Step #2: Copy downloaded file directly under /sdcard on your device’s storage.

Step #3: Power the device off and reboot into recovery mode.

Step #4: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of existing ROM, if anything should not work out something expected on this ROM, it will helps you to easily revert back to your current state, to create select “Backup and Restore”, and on the screen that follows select “Backup” again.

Step #5: Select install zip from sdcard > choose zip from sdcard > [.zip file you transferred in step 2] to flash ClockworkMod Touch Recovery.

Step #6: Once flashing done, select reboot system now. That’s it enjoy!
