Now Root your Galaxy S II i9100 Using XXLP2 [How-To]
If you are a user of Galaxy S II and want to Root it using XXLP2 firmware you are on a right place below you can see step-by-strep guide for this purpose. Here I’d like to say that this Rom and the guide below is well-matched only and only with Galaxy S2, model number i9100 so, don’t try this for any other device. Also manage your back-up because the below steps can damage your valued data.
DISCLAIMER: The below method is bit risky and we will not be held responsible if you lose data or your device gets damaged in the following of this guide so please proceed at your own risk.
Installation Steps
Step 1
Firstly download the CF-Root Kernel package here. And extract the contents of the ZIP file. You’ll get only one file called CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_LP2-v5.2-CWM5.tar. Don’t extract the TAR file.
Step 2
Then download Odin3 v1.83 from here. You will need this program to flash the TAR file to your Galaxy S2. And Turn Off your device.
Step 3
Now press the Volume Up key and Home button at the same time while tapping the Power button to Reboot the phone into download mode.
Step 4
Now on next screen, continue into download mode by tap the Volume Up key. And also launch Odin3 v1.83 on your PC and connect your mobile device to your PC via USB Cable.
Step 5
Now wait for the ID:COM in Odin3 to turn yellow or for the word “Added” to be displayed on the message box. If the device is not connected to Odin3, verify appropriate drivers are installed in your PC. Just Click on the PDA tab in Odin3.
Step 6
Select the CF-Root-SGS2_XX_OXA_LP2-v5.2-CWM5.tar file. And Under “Options” in Odin3, make sure only “Auto Reboot” and “F. Reset Time” are checked.
Step 7
When everything is set, click the Start button in Odin3 to flash the CF-Root Kernel. If the flashing procedure takes an unusually long time, or if it gets stuck, try disconnecting the phone from the PC, pulling out and reinserting the battery, switching back into download mode, and after that repeating the process from the beginning.
Step 8
When CF-Root has successfully installed, your phone will automatically reboot. And disconnect your phone from the PC only after the phone has rebooted completely.
