Revert Back to Stock on Verizon Galaxy Tab SCH-I800 and Unroot too [How-To]


So you’ve flashed any firmware and now want to revert back to the stock ROM or you want to unroot your Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab, here’s all want to do with your Galaxy Tab. Once you’re on stock ROM and have unrooted Android device, you’re able to visit the manufacturer shop for the warranty of the device, you can’t get warranty of a rooted Android device because rooting voids the warranty of the device.

Before you get started first be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the following required files from XDA: SCH-I800.Stock.Rooted.2.3.5.zip – SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse.zip – Heimdall Suite 1.1.1

Step #2: Unzip the downloaded heimdall-suite-1.1.1-win32.zip into a folder on desktop.

Step #3: Turn the device off.

Step #4: Reboot the device into download mode by holding down Volume Down and Power until download mode appears.

Step #5: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable.

Step #6: Make sure drivers are installed on the PC, if drivers aren’t installed on the device, make use of zadig.exe present in the Drivers folder to install the drivers.

Step #7: Now go to the folder where you unzipped the above file and open heimdall-frontend.exe.

Step #8: Unzip the SCH-I800.Stock.Rooted.2.3.5.zip file into a folder on the desktop. Then from the folder load the relevant files into relevant sections on Heimdall, see below image:

Step #9: That’s it, now simply click on start button.

Step #10: Now you need to unroot the device, so first turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development.

Step #11: Plug the phone to your computer.

Step #12: Unzip the SuperOneClickv2.3.3-ShortFuse.zip on PC and run SuperOneClick.exe, if you want to donate the developer click donate now otherwise click on Donate Later. Then simply click on Unroot and follow the on-screen instructions.
