Root and Install ClockworkMod on Galaxy S3 with latest CF-Root Tool
When Samsung announced the Galaxy S3, one of hardworking XDA developer member Chainfire achieved the root access on the smartphone remotely but that wasn’t very simple package and he also released ClockworkMod recovery for the device that can be installed on the device individually. But now the developer has come up with latest CF-Root tool that’s very useful all-in-one-tool for the Galaxy S3 GT-I9300.
Just install the tool on device and it’ll flash everything you need like it’ll root the device and install Super User app, it’ll install ClockworkMod recovery and ClockworkMod Manager app, and then you’ll be able to easily customize your newly purchased smartphone like you’ll be able to install custom ROMs, Mods, tweaks, remove bloatware, take the backup of your existing ROM, wipe the device and much more.
So continue reading for root and ClocworkMod recovery, before you proceed first keep in mind that rooting will also void the warranty of device, so think carefully before you do anything. USB drivers of device should be installed on your PC, you can download 32 bit (x86) Windows from here and 64-bit (x64) Windows from here. Charge the device battery and make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Step #1: First download the CF-Root 6.0 to your PC, then unzip the download file into folder.
Step #2: Now download the required Odin3 v3.04 to your PC, then unzip it too, you’ll get some files, don’t delete or move them.
Step #3: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped the Odin file and double click on Odin3 v3.04.exe to run the file.
Step #4: Turn your Galaxy S3 off, then reboot into download mode by holding down volume down, home and power button until screen turns on, then press just volume up button to enter into download mode.
Step #5: Now in download mode, plug the device to your PC using USB cable, you’ll get a message saying ADDED and color of ID:COM box will change which means Odin is successfully detected the device, if it didn’t detect, you have problem in USB drivers.
Step #6: On Odin, click on the PDA button, and select browse to and select the CF-Root-SGS3-v6.0.tar file that you’ve got in first step. (Note: Don’t make any changes in Odin, then make sure that re-partition isn’t not checked).
Step #7: Click on Start button to start procedure, once it’s done, you’ll get message saying PASS and your device will reboot itself (Note: If Odin fails to complete installation, don’t worry, just disconnect the device from PC, remove battery from it, then reinsert battery but don’t turn it on and follow guide from third step).
