my galaxy 10.1 GTP7500 4G with firmware version 3.2 shows “apply update from sd card” instead of “install zip”. My screen goes black if i choose apply update to install the kernel file and the recovery file.

    Please help!

select “Install zip from sdcard.” Then, select “Choose zip from sdcard” and select “kernel.zip” from the list. Confirm that you want to flash the file. not select apply update form SD card it would be used to install updates not rooting zip files

I’m totally confused as to how to root my galaxy tab p7500r (rogers Canada – wifi and 4g)
    Model # gt-p7500r
    Android v 4.0.4
    Baseband p7500ruxlh2
Kernel version 3.1.10 se.infra@sep-106 #2 smp preempt Mon Aug 6
    Build # imm76d.ruxlh2

Im looking to keep my stock rom, just would like to install superuser, not looking to install any custom roms or anything
Hopefully I’ve given you enough info here that you may be able to help me – all the research I’ve done has shown the p7500 and the p7500r are different and all the sites I seem to find are just for the p7500

One other question, once I root, am I still able to recieve ota updates if I’ll ive done is install SU?

you’ll not receive OTA, you’ll have to install them manually and this method is just for galaxy tab 10.1 p7500, dont apply on 7500r

Currently it looks like Drupal is the top blogging platform out there right
now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?
