Root Transformer TF700 on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

Not a while ASUS rolled out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Transformer TF700 through OTA and here’s good news for those of you have upgraded their tablets to the newer Android 4.1 Jelly Bean version and can’t live without root, a senior XDA developer member hiemanshu has found a method to root Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 on Jelly Bean.

Read on how to root Transformer TF700 on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, make sure your device is unlocked and ClockworkMod recovery is installed on your it, be sure to follow our this guide to install ClockworkMod on Transformer TF700. The complete process will take just 10 to 15 minutes.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the Rooting Package (CWM-SuperSU-v0.96.zip).

Step #2: Transfer the downloaded file to SD card of device.

Step #3: Turn the device off.

Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode, to do so reboot tablet by holding down volume down and power button, a menu will show saying press volume up to enter RCK, press the volume up to enter in recovery mode.

Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything goes wrong, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.

Step #6: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”.

Step #7: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded .zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.

Step #8: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”

That’s it, your Transformer TF700 is rooted now, enjoy!

    Cool, but you say “make sure your device is unlocked” and the unlocked how-to link is only for ICS.
    So, how can I root my TF700 on JB ?
