Root Your Galaxy S Advance I9070 Running XXLD1 Firmware
Rooting provides you super user rights on your Android device, you can install every app that requires manufacture permission on a rooted Android device. A rooting tool has been released for the Samsung Galaxy S Advance, and as usual we got a easy step by step guide to root your Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070.
Bear in mind that this tool is just for Samsung Galaxy S Advance model number I9070, so don’t try to root any other device with this tool, you can check the device information from Setting>About Phone if you want. Rooting will void the warranty of your device, so think carefully before you proceed.
Before you start first charge the device battery, disable all system tools such as Samsung KIES, antivirus, firewall program, please make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, and turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development.

Instructions
Step #1: Download the rooting package from here to computer and unzip it into a single folder.
Step #2: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and run Odin.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into download mode by holding down Volume down, home and power button.
Step #5: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear.
Step #6: Click on PDA Button and locate the rootkernel.tar.md5 file from the folder where you’ve extracted the downloaded file in first step, the click on PIT button and locate the GT-I9070_EUR_XX_8G_20111220_KL6.pit from the same folder. (Note: Don’t make any changes in Odin).
Step #7: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS.
Step #8: Unplug the device from PC, close Odin and turn the device off
Step #9: Reboot the device into download mode by holding down Volume down, home and power button.
Step #10: Once again run Odin and plug the device to PC using USB cable.
Step #11: Once the Odin is detected your device, click on PDA Button and locate the xxld1.tar.md5 file from the folder where you’ve extracted the downloaded file in first step, the click on PIT button and locate the GT-I9070_EUR_XX_8G_20111220_KL6.pit from the same folder.
Step #12: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS.
Step #13: That’s it, unplug the device from PC .

However good news for is that Samsung German has confirmed that the that your phone (model number GT-I9070) will receive the update in January, without providing any actual roll out dates for this Jelly Bean upgrade, they posted it on facebook, it really make you happy because the Android development community might pay more attention to your phone after jelly Bean release and you’ll have more custom ROMs to enhance the performance of your phone, check the story here – https://www.facebook.com/SamsungMobileDeutschland/posts/374770639276087
