We all know well that to install any ROM or non-market app first you need to root your Android device. Here’s guide to root your Huawei U880 IDEOS X5, remember rooting will void the warranty of device. Step #1: Download Superboot from here to PC.

Step #6: Reboot the device into download mode by pressing and holding both the Volume keys. By doing this your phone’s screen become pink. Now connect your phone with your computer using USB cable which puts your phone into download mode.

Step #2: Plug the device to PC using USB cable.

Step #3: Just open the drive and you will find a folder named IMAGE and copy the downloaded boot.img file (1st step) to IMAGE folder..

Step #4: Disconnect the device from PC and reboot, boot.img file will automatically root your phone while booting. This small file made the rooting process simple and safe. After rooting you should Root Check app from Google Play to check root access. That’s it.
