Root Your Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T [How-To]

The most recent enter in ASUS tablets, the ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T, now can easily be rooted. Recently Asus released an official tool to unlock the bootloader of device and now a senior XDA developer member sparkym3 has released Debugfs automated root tool to root Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T with no trouble.

Rooting will allow you to install all root-required apps on your tablet, but do also keep in mind that since rooting voids the limitations of manufacturer on the tablet, it will also void the warranty of your tablet, so you should think carefully before you proceed.

First be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development and also turn on Unknown Resources from Setting.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the Debugfs root tool package from here.

Step #2: Unzip the Debugfs root tool package .zip file into a folder on PC.

Step #3: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above package, then run RootDebugfs file.

Step #4: Plug the tablet to your PC, PC may ask for drivers location, you need to locate Drivers\Android that can be found under a folder where you’ve unzipped the root package.

Step #5: On the root tool window, type 1 and follow on screen instructions (Note: If face an error Segmentation Fault just after Testing Superuser step, click on yes to continue rooting).

That’s it, your device is now rooted, head over to Google Play, there download and install Superuser. Enjoy!
