Skankwich GSM Kang ROM For Your Galaxy Nexus i9250 [How-To]

A brand new ROM for Galaxy Nexus, this ROM offers many customization and even better performance than stock Android, “Skankwich GSM Kang ROM”, this ROM based on CM9 sources, it’s so different from CM9 just a few changes. This ROM is still under beta, so you can expect some bugs too.

If you’re interested follow below guide to install it, but keep in mind that your device must be rooted with ClockworkMod recovery installed its battery should be charged, please make a backup of your device data because the below procedure will wipe all data.

DISCLAIMER: The below method is bit risky and we will not be held responsible if you lose data or your device gets damaged in the following of this guide so please proceed at your own risk.

Instructions

Step #1: Download latest version of ROM here and also Google Apps package here too PC.

Step #2: Connect the device to PC and transfer the both downloaded files into your SD card.

Step #3: Disconnect the device from PC turn it off.

Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by pressing the following keys together: Power + Volume Up and Down.

Step #5: You will enter Fastboot mode. Here, press Volume Up twice till you seeRecovery selected, then press Power button to boot into recovery. In recovery, use Volume buttons to navigate and the Power button to select.

Step #6: Select “wipe data/factory reset”, then select “Yes” on next screen to confirm data wipe (will NOT wipe your SD card). Select “wipe cache”, then select “Yes” to confirm.

Step #7: Then, select “advanced”, then select “wipe dalvik cache”, then select “Yes” to confirm. After wiping dalvik cache, select “go back” to go back to the mainrecovery menu.

Step #8: Select “install zip from sdcard”, then select “choose zip from sdcard”. Scroll to the ROM file on the sdcard and select it. The ROM will now start installing, once it done select “go back” to go back to the mainrecovery menu.

Step #9: Repeat step 8, but this time selects the Google apps package file gapps-ics-20120224-signed.zip to install the Google apps package. Once it done, just select “go back” then select “reboot system now” to reboot the phone. That’s it, you’ve done, please comment below.
