Slim ICS ROM available for Galaxy S 4G, Here’s Installation Guide
Slim ICS is very slim size clean custom ROM that based on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the ROM comes with trimmed down size but has everything you want, the size is just 69MB, however it has no bloatware. Slim ICS is AOSP-based custom ROM, it features five different languages, lighting launcher and more. You have get calendar and weather widgets in lock screen bar, you can take screenshot using customizable Nav bar. The Slim ICS ROM is already available for many different Android devices such as Galaxy S, Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S3 but now also available for the Samsung Galaxy S 4G, thanks to senior XDA developer member erikmm.
The ROM comes with a smooth performance and UI but do note that the ROM is still in its development stage, so you can expect some bugs like the developer mentioned that you can’t take the backup in recovery mode, you might face this issue in ClockworkMod recovery 6.0. ClockworkMod recovery must be installed on your Galaxy smartphone, and be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions
Step #1: Download the latest version of ROM from here [Official Page], you need to download two files Slim_Common.zip and GalaxyS_4G_x.x.zip.
Step #2: Transfer the downloaded file to the internal SD card of device.
Step #3: Turn the device off.
Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume up, volume down and power buttons (Note: In recovery mode use volume keys to navigate and power button to select).
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.
Step #7: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded GalaxyS_4G_x.x.zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.
Step #8: Once again, repeat the last step to install Slim_Common.zip file that you also copied in step 2.
Step #9: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
