Once you have installed the app to your M8, fire up the app, go to settings menu of phone, there tap on “Get content from another phone”, then select Android phone and hit “quick transfer” or “full transfer”. It should does the job quickly and very easily, you can import your contacts, messages, photos, videos, calendar and other settings as well using second option “full transfer”. When you tap on “full transfer”, you will be asked to confirm, hit next and then launch the same application on old Android phone. You will get a pin on both phones (make sure you are connected to correct phone) and confirm the action. Then load the content you want to transfer and hit “transfer” button.

Getting data transferred on M8 from iPhone
You can use the same application “HTC transfer tool” to transfer your data from an iPhone to new HTC M8 phone. Launch the app on M8, go to settings menu and click “get content from another phone” and hit iPhone. You can use Bluetooth to transfer contacts but if you want more, you need iTunes. You can transfer data using iPhone’s backup on iTunes and HTC Sync manager. Make a backup of your iPhone on computer using iTunes, then connect M8 to computer and launch HTC sync manager application. Go to home tab, there hit “transfer and backup”, then select “get started” from iPhone Transfer Content and it should show the screen past iPhone backup files. There locate the file you want to load on HTC One M8 and confirm the action by hitting OK. Then you should get options to transfer contacts, calendar, messages, camera roll app, wallpapers, and bookmarks.
