Update HTC Sensation to Android 4.2 with CyanogenMod 10.1 ROM
Android development community seems to making the CyanogenMod 10.1 way for HTC smartphones that is based on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, a recognized XDA developer bruce2728 has ported the CyanogenMod 10.1 to HTC Sensation, it’s unofficial build.
CyanogenMod is packed with a lot of customization options that allow you to optimize the interface while it offers all Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean features such as gesture-based keyboard, panorama mode for photography and more. Keep in mind that the CyanogenMod is AOSP custom ROM, so default HTC features would not be available in this ROM.
Of course it’s great news for Sensation users but this new CM10.1 ROM is currently in early stages, so we can expect bugs like the developer mention that Camera, Bluetooth and Audio aren’t working currently but hopefully he’ll iron out all bugs soon in near future.

You need to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages useSMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Step #2: Copy both zip files to the SD card of device.
Step #3: Turn the device off and reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume down and power button, first device will enter in HBOOT, there use volume keys to navigate and navigate to recovery option, then use power button to enter into recovery mode.
Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.
Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.
Step #7: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”.
Step #8: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded ROM zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation.
Step #9: Once again repeat the previous step and install the Google Apps package zip file in the same manner.
Step #10: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot phone.
