The InsertCoin is a new Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean XXDLIB firmware (Samsung released this firmware recently) based custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300, it’s pre-rooted custom ROM and is packed with a lot of useful tweaks to customize the performance of your Galaxy S3. It’s pretty stable, so give it a try to taste something new.

The below guide will walk you through how to install insertcoin ROM on Samsung Galaxy S3, do keep in mind that the ClockworkMod recovery must be installed on your phone, check out our this guide to install ClockworkMod v6.0.  Be sure to make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps.

Instructions

Step #1: Download the InsertCoin ROM from here or here (File Name: InsertCoin_SGS_III_v1.0.0.zip)

Step #2: Transfer the downloaded InsertCoin ROM .zip file to SD card of device.

Step #3: Turn the device off.

Step #4: Reboot the device into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons.

Step #5: In recovery mode, create a nandroid backup of your current ROM, it’s important because if anything not work out that you expect from this ROM, you’ll be able to easily revert back to your current state. To create backup select “Backup and Restore”, and then select “Backup” again.

Step #6: Perform full wipe, first select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen.

Step #7: Return to main menu by selecting “Go Back”.

Step #8: Select “Install Zip from SD Card” then “Choose Zip from SD Card” and locate the downloaded InsertCoin_SGS_III_v1.0.0.zip file that you’ve transferred in above step and confirm installation. Wait till installation complete.

Step #9: Once the installation is completed, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now” to reboot your Galaxy S3.
