Upgrade Galaxy S3 to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean XXDLIH firmware
Just a few days ago Samsung rolled out the Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update for the Poland and it’s Sweden turn, Samsung has rolled out Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean XXDLIH firmware for the Sweden Galaxy S3, however it will be available in other countries soon in near future but if you can’t wait, you can install this update manually on your Galaxy S3 of any country.
Read on how to install official Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean XXDLIH firmware on Samsung Galaxy S3 manually. Make sure you’re using Windows PC and Galaxy S3 USB drivers are installed, you can download 32 bit (x86) Windows drivers from here and 64-bit (x64) Windows drivers from here. Disable all system tools such as Samsung KIES, antivirus, firewall program, please make a backup of your device data such as SMS, internet setting, contacts music files etc because the below procedure may wipe data, you can sync your contacts with Gmail account and for messages use SMS apps, lastly use file expert app to backup apps, and turn the USB Debugging on, to do so just tap Menu> Settings> Application> Development.

Step #2: Download Odin3 v3.04 (Odin3_v3.04.zip).
Step #3: Unzip both .zip files into a folder.
Step #4: Open the folder where you’ve unzipped above file and run Odin3 v3.04.exe.
Step #5: Turn the device off.
Step #6: Reboot the device into download mode, to do reboot device by holding down volume down, home and power buttons, when screen turns on, leave these buttons and press the volume up button to enter into download mode.
Step #7: Once you’re in download mode plug the device to PC using USB cable. Odin will detect the device, ID:COM will turn yellow and a message saying ADDED will appear. (Note: If Odin doesn’t detect the device, make sure that USB drivers are properly installed on your computer).
Step #8: Click on PDA Button and locate I9300XXDLIH_I9300VDSDLI1_I9300XXDLID_HOME.tar.md5 from the folder where you’ve unzipped above files in the step 2. (Note: Don’t make any change, just make sure that re-partition is unchecked).
Step #9: Click on Start button to start installation, once the installation done, your device will reboot itself and you’ll see message saying PASS (Note: If Odin refuse to install the update and show message FAIL, or get stuck, close the Odin and unplug device, then pull out battery from the device for a few seconds. Then put the battery back to the device and reboot into download mode. Then install the firmware again.
Step #10: If your device reboot into normal mode, you’re done, enjoy! But if you device gets stuck at boot screen, you need to perform wipe, to do so, turn off device, then reboot into recovery mode by holding down volume up, home and power buttons, when screen turns on, leave power button but not volume down until you enter in recovery mode. In recovery mode, select the wipe data/factory reset, and confirm on the next screen. Once it done, select “Go Back” after that select “Reboot System Now.”
