ASUS announces Padfone 2 – features quad-core chip, 13MP sensor and more
ASUS has become the world’s top 2 notebook vendor, ASUS makes most award winning motherboards and now ASUS has just announced the second-generation phone and tablet hybrid device – the Padfone 2. It’s Android-powered Galaxy Note-like device but you can also use it into a tablet dock to get complete tablet experience, ASUS is one of my favorite manufacture, it really impressed me with the Nexus 7 that runs Android OS but manufactured by ASUS.
The new Padfone iteration was appeared at Taipei, Taiwan, ASUS used the 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor to power up the device, it features a 4.7-inch Super IPS+ display that offers you 1,280 x 720 resolution. The camera is manufactured by Sony – 13MP sensor, you can take up to 100 burst shots with this amazing photography tool, the Padfone 2 also features 1.2MP front camera that capture vanity shots and for Skype-ing.
The Padfone 2 includes a 2GB of RAM and it’s available with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB internal storage even the phone offers you a free 50GB of web storage, yes, it’s NFC-enabled Padfone 2, it features a 2,140mAh powerful battery. However, everything impress you but just one thing shows bad impression, the Padfone 2 runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich instead of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, hopefully ASUS will push out the Jelly Bean update for the phone soon because they has made an excellent relationship record with Google.
The Padfone 2 is one of best combination of smartphone and tablet and it will cost you NT$17,990 or US$616 for 16GB internal storage, as well as NT$19,990 or US$684 for 32GB and NT$21,901 or US$750 for 64GB.
So guys what do you think about this new Padfone 2, are you impressed or not? Show your thoughts in the below comment section about this latest ASUS creation.
