Facebook Home for Android official – a showcase of data collection

Finally the Facebook Android event is over now that brought many new Facebook’s goodies to Android smartphones and tablets including Android Facebook home service, it’s place where you can showcase your data, it takes over the screen of Facebook handsets that is known as Facebook Home for Android. It seems a home launcher.

Mark Zuckerberg said that the Facebook Home is a custom home interface for Android devices, an open source operating system that you and Android development community can use to do anything you want, it’s better than to make a Facebook phone as it can’t reach so many users.

The step seems very good because Facebook Home can now be used by millions of Android users, you’ll have access to new lock and home screen using the Facebook Home that is great to make entirely on one’s Facebooj environment, you’ll have option to go through Facebook content (cover feed) engage in SMS and Facebook messaging sessions (Chat heads app) while you’ll also able to launch regular Android apps that can be installed from the Home’s own app launcher.

I think Facebook is trying to built a full-fledge service for smartphones and tablets that can be used to cover everything related to messaging and calls while giving a beautiful Facebook environment (I think rockmelt web browser is best example to use here), we should remember that Facebook team said that there will be ad in Facebook Home service that is bit irritating for me.

The Facebook Home introduces so many features such as cover feed, notifications, chat heads and app launcher. The cover feed can be used to quickly access your app content from their news feed while connecting people to their contents as they can like simply double tap for like and comments. You can open up graph stories with users generated photos.

Notifications is second part of Home that you can use to receive a bit bigger and  bolder notifications to home screen. The next one is chat heads that can be used to receive messages in a non-intrusive fashion while using your apps.

Facebook Home service is coming on April 12, in nutshell, I’d like to say that the Facebook Home is like a showcase where you can collect the data. Do you like the Facebook Home for your Android device?
