Galaxy Note 2 Gets OTA Update – Brings Multi-Window Feature
Just a few days ago the Korean company shipped the second-generation phablet “Samsung Galaxy Note 2” but it lack the multi-window option, it makes some of you unhappy but Samsung loves to make you happy, that’s the reason within a couple of days Samsung has rolled out the software update that brings that multi-window ability back to your Galaxy Note 2. For unfamiliar, the multi-window option allows you to long press on the back button and then show up a menu that helps you split your Note 2’s screen between two Android apps, of course, it’s a great multitasking on device with two apps in view that be used at a time, really useful for me and hopefully for you too.
However, currently the multitasking-window doesn’t support all Android apps but another great thing about the option is that it’s not limited to just a Samsung apps like you use on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. It support so many apps from Google such as the Gmail, Chrome and Google Talk, some other apps are supported too such as official Twitter, however some of other can’t be used with multitasking. The new XXALIJ1 update also adds a new baseband version and the Google Chrome app.
So those of you have got a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, pick up your pahblet, go to menu, tap on Setting, there scroll to About device and there check the software update to bring the multi-window feature on your newly purchased Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Don’t forget to let us know your thoughts about the multi-window features that got from this new Android software update in the below comment section.
Update: A step-by-step guide to install this XXALJ1 firmware on Galaxy Note 2 is available here.

check your device detail from Setting>About device, if you’re on XXALIJ1 firmware, it should allow you to use multi-view but if not, install the firmware manually or wait for OTA notification, you may install the firmware here: http://www.androidegis.com/how-to/install-xxalj1-update-on-galaxy-note-2-manually-get-multi-window-feature/
