Motorola Devices Will Get Ice Cream Sandwich Update in Second and Third Quarter of 2012
Google has released its latest mobile operating system Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for numerous Android devices, each update brings a unique interface and come with lots of new features. However so many Android users are at a halt waiting for the Ice Cream Sandwich update on their Android devices like Motorola Droid RAZR.
But Motorola has rolled out a timeline for Ice Cream Sandwich update. According to the timeline almost within the next month owners of Motorola Droid RAZR, RAZR MAXX and XOOM 3G and XOOM 4G will get the official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update on their smartphones and tablets.
The timeline tells the release date of update for just USA variants. Motorola will also release update for other devices, like Ice Cream Sandwich update will release in third quarter of 2012 for the Motorola Atrix 2 and the Motorola Atrix 4G MB860 will also get the Ice Cream Sandwich update in the third quarter of 2012, however right now the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update is available for Motorola Atrix 4G MB860, if you own a Motorola Atrix 4G MB860, to upgrade your smartphone with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, go to Setting then About phone and then tap on System update, there you’ll get official Gingerbread update.
Motorola will also release the Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Motorola Droid 4 and Droid Bionic in the third quarter of 2012 but Droid 3 and Droid X2 will remain on Android 2.3 for good, which means owners of the Droid 3 and X2 should try the custom ROMs to taste the Ice Cream Sandwich.
