Samsung Exynos-based devices can be booted directly from SD card now
The Android development community is famous because of awesome inventions, especially XDA hackers have invented a lot of hacks for Android devices that enables to customize almost every aspect of your Android devices and here we’re sharing a new “game changer” development by XDA developers, it’s especially developed for Samsung Exynos-based devices such as Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Camera.
Two elite recognized XDA developers adamoutler and Rebellos has found a way that enables to you to boot Samsung Exynos-based devices from the SD card, it’s really awesome, isn’t it? This hack allows you to boor your device using an open source bootloader and it’s not similar to chroot style dual booting.
This hack enables all developers to get rid of Samsung’s closed source bootloaders, they should not be worried about bootloader of different carriers as it enables them to boot the device directly from the SD card, the most important point we should note is that hackers can fix bricked devices and it’s relief for so many Samsung users. You’re also able to make Fastboot work on the Galaxy Camera but something still need care:
EMMC Disable hardware mod (can be undone later)
UART hookups for debugging and working in fastboot mode.
attempting to rework GS3 Ramdisk for SDCard boot.
recreating the proper partition structure on a 16 gig.
Many things would be possible soon in near future such as booting to another operating system, be sure to visit the original thread of XDA here for more information.
