Sony has launched a biggest TV at IFA, 84-inch Sony XBR-84X900 TV, it’s a biggest TV of the year that features a 4K resolution, a great resolution, it’s a first Sony’s TV that features 4K resolution, for those of you, who are unfamiliar to 4K resolution, the 4K is a format that has been used in cinemas and now also available in large rooms, it’s 3840 x 2160 pixel resolutions that is four times as many pixel as a 1080p TV. The 4K resolution already has been used in LG 84LM9600 TV but Sony also makes a 4K projector, the VPL-VW1000.

The XBR-84X900 TV also features a passive 3D, it’s another new feature in Sony’s TV. The XBR-84X900 has 10-driver stereo speaker system, which is enough to provide a high quality sound even on a play ground. If you drop the LCD, it would be a biggest flat-panel size for public.

The issue you may face with XBR-84X900 is that “lack of 4K contents”, to get rid of this problem, Sony touts the 4K X-Reality PRO picture engine, it will upscale your contents to 4K resolution.
