Upcoming Nexus 6 will pack a 64-bit processor
The 6th-genration Nexus phone is on the way. It is expected to bring something better which is not available in market yet or something better but in very low price. Not a while ago we got a rumor claiming that the Nexus 6 will be available for only $100. Getting very low price tag would not compromise with specifications; the Nexus 6 is still expected to pack very high-end specs. Taiwan’s Economic Daily News has reported that the Nexus 6 will use a specific MediaTek processor “quad-core MT6732 64-bit chip clocked at 1.5GHz, or the octa-core MT6752 SoC running at a frequency of 2.0GHz.”
The report said that these both chips will be very powerful with Mali-T760 GPUs, and LTE capable. Even these are 64-bit chips using a new ARMv8 instruction set.
If we take a glance at MediaTek devices, you will feel that these devices are cheaper than many other platforms. However 64-bit chip is not a cheap case, it sounds good and it can cost high. If this is real, we are getting $100 Nexus 6 with 64-bit cheap, it is possible that Nexus devices will break dozens of previous records held by Android’s manufacturers.
What do you expect from Nexus 6?
