How To Active USB Mass Storage on Galaxy S4

As usual, Samsung put the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean version in action for their latest Samsung Galaxy S4 flagship smartphone that do not support the USB Mass Storage feature, however the Galaxy S4 enjoys the latest MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) service, you may say that MTP is a fine solution to share data between computer and smartphone but many of us don’t love it because of working errors. On the other side of this issue, UMS is a simple and fast way to transfer your files from Galaxy S4 to computer and even it is well-matched with almost all of computer’s operating systems. So we should switch back to USB Mass Storage on Galaxy S4?

You should simply try the “SG USB Mass Storage Enabler” app from the Google Play Store to active USM that works on almost all of GS4’s variants but keep in mind that your phone must be rooted with BusyBox app installed. You can check following guides to root your GS4:

Galaxy S4 I9505

Galaxy S4 I9500

Verizon Galaxy S4

US Galaxy S4 (QUALCOMM chip version)

Read on how to active USB Mass Storage on Galaxy S4.

Instructions

Step #1: Ensure USB drivers are installed on your PC.

Step #2: Download and install SG USB Mass Storage Enabler from here.

Step #3: Launch the app.

Step #4: Plug phone to PC using a USB cable.

Step# 5: Tap on Mass Storage Mode button on app.

Step #6: Allow root access.

That’s it, you’re done. You are now able to share date between computer and external SD card of your Samsung Galaxy S4, if you experience any error, leave a comment. Via: Android Geeks
