Learn How To Set Up APN for Nexus 4


Google has created a storm in the market with the release of Nexus 4, the phone offers really impressive specs and features for a super-low price – just $299, that’s the reason a lot people are buying the Nexus 4, however Google said that it would not be available through any carrier, you have to use GSM unlocked variant, this is the reason some people who are going to an unlocked smartphone for the first time, thinking that how they can set up the right ANP, once you’re done, you’ll not feel a lot of difference between unlocked and postpaid carrier.

Unfortunately it would not be always 100 percent frictionless. You just need to change one thing that is APN (access point name) setting. Every carrier offers a separate APN setting to control the phone network, to help our readers, we’re showing a well-known carrier APN setting and how you can set up on your Nexus 4.

If you want to use AT&T or T-Mobile postpaid, you need nothing to do, here’s main prepaid carrier’s support image and APN setting that is suggested by carriers, if you set up this APN, your phone should run without any issue, take a look at below image and fill everything exactly.

However, there’s no APN setting that you can try on any carrier. To create and edit the APN, simply go to setting on the phone, there tap on “More….” and then “Mobile networks”, it will show APN (access point name) menu, tap on it to start editing. Now tap on overflow menu button that can be found at the right side and open “New APN”, there take look at above image or any other APN you know and enter values properly, it’s important to note that anything that is missed can be left blank without any effect, once you’re done, tap on overflow menu and tap on “save”. Now you’re able tap on radio button next to activate your APN setting, then delete the preloaded non-working APN if you found one. Reboot your Nexus 4 and you’re done, enjoy!
